Balancing the severity of the situation with the wishes of our players has been very challenging. Please know that we did not reach this decision lightly. We spent countless hours on phone, text and email conversations, and appreciate the input from all of the players, captains and board reps. We know from your feedback that many players wanted to keep the season going. But, just as we had made a decision to try to continue, details of additional school and work closings, and changes to spring breaks were announced. Due to these issues, and the fact that a significant number of players do not want to play, there is simply no way to maintain a viable season. We do not want division winners to be determined by which teams can fill the most lines. Because so many of you will still be out playing tennis, we have decided to leave the website up and functioning. Captains will be able to see the schedules and use the team management function to email and organize players for friendly competition. Captains may contact each other prior to the date they are scheduled to play. If both teams have players that would like to play, you can coordinate those social matches through Tenniscores. Interclub will not be organizing, monitoring scores, or involved in line up decisions in anyway. We hope this provides everyone an option for stress-free, fun, and competitive tennis.
